Clean Seas are the global leaders in full cycle breeding, production and sale of Spencer Gulf Kingfish, and the largest producer of aquaculture Yellowtail Kingfish outside Japan. Clean Seas are recognised for the innovative aquaculture practices they employ, and are renowned worldwide for the exceptionally high quality fish they produce.
Clean Seas acquired a secondhand vessel, and it was established that all 4 diesel fuel tanks on board were heavily contaminated, making the efficient and environmentally-friendly operation of the vessel near impossible. There was also risk that the engine would fail if attempting to operate using contaminated diesel fuel.
With minimal impact to the environment and sustainability at the core of what Clean Seas does, the proposed solution needed to be mindful of these aspects.
Clean Seas engaged the Clear Fuel Technologies team to remediate and salvage the diesel fuel that was in the tanks, and to effect tank cleans to all 4 tanks.
All 4 tanks on the vessel were thoroughly cleaned, and the remaining fuel contained within was remediated. Not only does the vessel now have clean tanks, the fuel wastage was minimized also meaning that any potential impact on the environment was reduced significantly.
The vessel can now operate with greater fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and improved reliability.
We also offer an emergency 24/7 service.
